The survey finds 56 percent of CFOs plan to hire additional employees within the next six months. Overall, they anticipate a 4 percent increase in hiring over this timeframe.
The quarterly survey also revealed that retention of workers is a priority for 80 percent of CFOs.
The survey also tapped CFOs' opinions on retirement. It found 41 percent anticipate working beyond age 65 out of desire and 31 percent will do so out of need. Three percent of CFOs surveyed are already working beyond retirement age. Fifty-nine percent favor increasing the traditional retirement age by about three years.
