Judge charges Spanish princess with tax fraud

A judge has charged a Spanish princess with tax evasion and money laundering, and is calling Princess Cristina to court in March.

According to media reports, the judge found that there is evidence that Cristina, the youngest daughter of King Juan Carlos, had broken the law.

Cristina's legal issues are part of a broader problem for the Spanish royal family. Spanish authorities are also investigating her husband, Inaki Urdangarin, a former Olympic athlete, for tax fraud and embezzlement over his sports-related nonprofit. The couple has said they are innocent.
