White House promises Obama budget will 'blow your mind'

White House press secretary Jay Carney promised Friday that President Obama's budget "will blow your mind."

Carney said the Obama budget expected Wednesday will be "so much more detailed" than what Republicans have proposed that "it will blow your mind." He made the comment at his daily briefing, where it met with some laughter from the press corps. 

Obama's budget is expected to include proposals for new tax hikes and a critical entitlement reform the president has previously floated. He would convert to a "chained CPI" formula for calculating increases in entitlement benefits for inflation, a shift that would lead to a slower hike in inflationary increases.
