Burwell nomination to get full Senate vote

The nomination is expected to clear the Senate. The Budget and Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs committees both approved the Burwell nomination on voice votes.

Even though Obama was lambasted for his latest budget by Republicans, they have not tried to block Burwell from becoming the head of the Office of Management and Budget.

Burwell served as deputy budget director under President Clinton, the last time the federal budget was balanced. She has most recently worked as the head of the charitable Wal-Mart Foundation.
