Banking trade group hires Grassley aide

A former counsel to Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) has become a top executive at the American Bankers Association.

Nick Podsiadly is a vice president and senior counsel for the trade group that represents the banking industry.

“ABA is always on the lookout for sharp people that have substance and a strong familiarity with the process,” Kenneth Clayton, the group’s executive vice president of legislative affairs and chief counsel, told The Hill in an email, “and Nick certainly fits the bill.”

In addition to serving Grassley during his time as the ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, he also served the longtime lawmaker on the Senate Finance Committee, working as investigative counsel.
