Job growth will be large and sustained, Vice President Joseph Biden predicted during a Pennsylvania fundraiser today.
Biden predicted between 100,000 and 200,00 jobs would be created next month with more in following months, according to a pool report from the event.
While Biden acknowledged he's gotten "in trouble" for predicting March's job growth. "Even some in the White House said, 'Hey, don't get ahead of yourself.'"
But he didn't hesitate to say job growth could increase to 250,000 and 500,000 jobs a month.
"Because I'm telling you something, folks, we caught a lot of bad break on the way down. We're going to catch a few good breaks because of good planning on the way up."
In March, 162,000 jobs were added, bolstered by hiring for the Census.
Biden was in Pittsburgh at a fundraiser for House candidate Mark Critz, a former aide to the late Rep. John Murtha, who is running for his boss's seat in a May special election.
