Bill Clinton to tout ObamaCare

Former President Clinton will help explain and promote President Obama's signature healthcare law next month.

The Clinton Foundation said Wednesday that the former president will address healthcare policy in a Sept. 4 address from his presidential library in Little Rock, Ark.

Clinton's remarks will come about a month before the healthcare law's new insurance marketplaces are scheduled to open in each state.

The White House is in the midst of an aggressive education and public-relations campaign to encourage the uninsured — especially uninsured young people — to sign up for new coverage options made available under the law.

"Excited to have President @BillClinton, once dubbed Secretary of Explaining Stuff, talk about the health reform law on 9/4 in Little Rock," senior Obama adviser Dan Pfeiffer said on Twitter Wednesday.

Clinton's speech will focus on "the critical role a high quality, affordable and accessible healthcare system plays in the United States and any country's economic and social well being," his foundation said.
