HHS dealing with ‘high volume of media requests’ on ObamaCare

The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs ran a red warning box atop its website saying it was working through a deluge of media requests about the law.

The alert refers journalists to HealthCare.Gov’s information page, asks reporters not to duplicate correspondences, and says those emailing the office “should be as specific as possible about your request and deadline.”

Reporters at the White House briefings have expressed frustration with press secretary Jay Carney for repeatedly referring their questions about the troubled ObamaCare website to HHS.

The Washington Post counted 10 separate occasions that Carney directed reporters to the HHS on Tuesday.
