Former ambassador to Afghanistan arrested on drunk driving, hit-and-run charges

Crocker, who is on leave from his position as dean of Texas A&M University's Bush School of Government and Public Service, has pleaded not guilty to the charges. His next court appearance is Sept. 12.

The Senate confirmed Crocker's deputy, James Cunningham, as the new U.S. ambassador to Kabul before breaking for the summer recess earlier this month.
