Among the anticipated impacts at ports of entry:

• Increased wait times for personal vehicles and pedestrians at land borders and the potential for doubled wait times and gridlock at the country's largest ports;

• Peak wait times of up to three or four hours at major airports;

• Delays of five days or more for container examinations at major seaports and “significant daily back-ups” at land border ports of entry; and

• Reduced flexibility to maintain or extend operating hours or respond to requests for new services.
