Grassley: Iowans think Egypt aid 'stupid'

“A conclusion I can draw fr most of 10 town meets I had mon &tues: Iowans think it stupid to give aid to Muslim brotherhood Egypt Pres.,” Grassley tweeted.

Egypt gets $1.3 billion in military aid and another $250 million in economic aid every year under the terms of the 1978 Camp David accords leading to peace with Israel.

Grassley voted for several amendments to defund aid to Egypt during last week's vote on the budget.
