Two State Department personnel injured in Venezuela nightclub shooting

State Department spokesman Patrick Ventrell said the two people were injured in a Caracas “social spot” and that their injuries were not life threatening. Venezuelan police identified one of the victims as Roberto Ezequiel Rosas, a military attache, and said he was shot in the right leg.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Caracas is known for having one of the world's highest rates of violence.
