The embassy is also warning Americans to abide by the military-imposed curfew from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

“Should an emergency situation place you out after curfew, be prepared to encounter checkpoints and diversions,” the embassy said. “Remain calm and abide by instructions of the police or military. Pay close attention to any hand signals and do not make any sudden moves or try to avoid a checkpoint. Be prepared to present identification.”
