After liberal activists charged Google with "evilness" in a protest outside its corporate headquarters in Mountain View on Friday, the company responded later that day.
The response came by tweet from @googlepubpolicy:
@freepress @colorofchange @moveon & others: Thanks for your feedback on this important, complex issue today. We value your input.
That doesn't sound so evil.
UPDATE: Might've spoken too soon. Tad Suiter, a frequent blogger on Internet issues, adds a more fine-tuned evilness assessment in response to Google's tweet.
"Polite indifference is the vocal tone of the majority of movie and comic book villains," he said. "How does that statement NOT sound evil?"
(Suiter admits that he's actually a Google enthusiast).
