The former senior counselor to Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Julius Genachowski has registered to lobby for Google.

Colin Crowell left the FCC last year to launch his firm Crowell Strategies.  Before his tenure at the FCC, he spent years on Capitol Hill as the top telecom aide for Rep. Edward Markey (D-Mass).

According to a disclosure form, Crowell will work on telecommunications, copyright/patent/trademark, energy/nuclear, and computer industry issues.
