Report: County GOP tries to squash YouTube video

The Polk County, Wis., Republican Party is demanding media organizations take down a video of Rep. Sean Duffy (R-Wis.) discussing his congressional salary at a town-hall meeting earlier this year, according to a report from Talking Points Memo.

The video shows Duffy describing how he struggles to meet his bills earning $174,000 as a member of Congress. According to the report, the Polk County GOP originally posted the video on its blog but later took it down after The Washington Post and TPM both published clips of it on Tuesday.

TPM claims officials from the Polk County GOP contacted Blip.tv, which TPM used to host the video, and demanded it be taken down due to copyright infringement. An official said the Polk County GOP pulled the video because it was being republished without their consent.
