Dupont, GE snag POTUS-adjacent seats at jobs meetings

President Obama sat between General Electric CEO Jeffrey Immelt and DuPont CEO Ellen Kullman when he convened his jobs council in North Carolina on Thursday. Immelt is chairman of the council.

The council joined Obama at the manufacturer Cree, an LED lighting company, for a session on green jobs. Obama will speak to workers 1:45 p.m. Audio of his speech will be live-streamed on the White House website.

The council boasts an impressive stock of tech star power, including, among others, Paul Otellini, the CEO of Intel; Steve Case, the co-founder of AOL; Sheryl Sandberg, the chief operating officer of Facebook; and John Doerr, a partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.
