Tweet about the hearing using #Holder & #FastAndFurious...well be sending the best ones live onto hearing module HERE: http://t.co/OuMHBQwV,” Issa wrote Thursday, promoting the new website.

Issa has been using Twitter the past few months to raise awareness about the controversial gun-tracking operation, generally tweeting with the hashtag #fastandfurious or #Holder.

Other Republicans have picked up Issas hashtags, and many tweeted about the hearing Thursday.

The investigation has been going on for the past year. It picked up speed a few months ago when reports came out that Holder knew about the operation before he had previously admitted. The program, run by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, allowed weapons that agents were tracking to cross the U.S.-Mexico border. The operation was botched when agents lost track of the guns they were supposed to be monitoring.
