TechAmerica hires Shawn Osborne as new CEO

"Shawn’s superior mix of private sector and trade association experience set him apart from a pool of extremely qualified applicants," Peter Boni, TechAmerica's chairman, said in a statement.

“My time in Washington has exposed me to the strong leadership TechAmerica provides the technology industry and I look forward to leading the charge as the sector continues to push for policies that create an innovation agenda for our country," Osborne said.

TechAmerica CEO Phillip Bond resigned in October to launch his own lobbying firm. Daniel Varroney, the association's chief operating officer, has been serving as the interim chief executive.
