News bites: Yahoo pays $30 million for news app

Yahoo paid $30 million to acquire Summly, a news reading app created by 17-year-old Nick D'Aloisio, according to AllThingsD.

Facebook is partnering with data brokers to collect information beyond what people are posting on the site, The New York Times writes.
