Clear Channel hires Dem operative to lead political ad business

Clear Channel has 850 radio stations around the U.S., while its iHeartRadio digital radio has more than 60 million unique users per month. The company also has an outdoor advertising arm, which boasts having more than 125,000 billboards, digital screens and advertisements in bus shelters, airports and shopping malls.

"Having Nathan Daschle on board sends a clear message that we intend to seriously invest in this arena and to continue to provide more and better options for political and issue advertisers through our multiplatform offerings," said the company’s chairman and chief executive, John Hogan, in a statement.
