News bites: Apple shuts down developer site after hack

Facebook has been working on a project aimed at getting the social network on "feature phones" that are popular in developing countries, The New York Times says. 

Apple is testing out larger screens for its iPhones and tablets, according to The Wall Street Journal.

The revelations over the National Security Agency's surveillance programs have led some Americans to change their online habits out of privacy concerns, The Associated Press writes.
