Privacy advocate, Adobe director to lead Do Not Track talks

Carill and Brookman replace outgoing co-chair Peter Swire, who was selected for the White House’s surveillance review panel last month. Prior to Swire, the group was led by Stanford University’s Aleecia McDonald.

Cargill is Adobe’s standards principal, while Brookman leads the CDT’s Project on Consumer Privacy.

In a blog post on Tuesday, W3C CEO Jeff Jaffe said the new co-chairs and the newly-outlined plan for the group will push the group forward “with renewed momentum.”
