News bites: China to relax Internet restrictions

China will lift its ban on Facebook, Twitter and The New York Times within the Shanghai free-trade zone, according to The South China Morning Post

BlackBerry's largest shareholder agreed to buy the company for $4.7 billion, the Associated Press reports.
