Today I'll be moderating two panels on opposite sides of town about two very different issues.
First, I'll be at Rayburn House Office Building (B-338), where a day-long conference sponsored by the Safe Internet Alliance will discuss online safety threats and solutions. At 12:45, I will moderate a panel about what the future holds, along with privacy and security officials from AOL and Microsoft and the National Cable and Telecommunications Association (among others).
Then, I'll jet across town to the Four Seasons for the AlwaysOn DC conference, which is aiming to close the gap between Silicon Valley entrepreneurs and Washington policymakers. At 3 p.m., I'll lead a discussion about broadband deployment and investment with Blair Levin of the FCC, Bruce Mehlman of the Technology CEO Council and the Internet Innovation Alliance, and Charles Curran of venture capital firm Valhalla Partners (among others).
Swing by if you're in the neighborhood. Let me know if you have some burning questions you'd like me to pose to the groups and I'll report back on their responses.
