The maps it has been creating for state-funded projects have all had different requirements. And those requirements are also different from those set forth by the government for stimulus-funded maps.
Many of the maps Connected Nation will be creating will show fiber, cable, DSL and wireless connections for each census block in a state, showing the highest advertised download speed available. They will not necessarily be depictions of broadband adoption.
Those maps will be updated with fresh data every six months for two years, under the current program. Residents can also dispute inaccurate speeds on the map.
