Webster's word of the year: 'distracted driving'

It's more of a phrase, but nonetheless "distracted driving" has earned its spot in American lexicon--and a post on the White House blog.

Webster's New World College Dictionary chose the phrase as its 2009 Word of the Year.

As Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood put it today, "I think its rapid intrusion into our national vocabulary shows what an epidemic distracted driving has become."
