Transit union head to talk Occupy Wall Street

"Working Americans have sacrificed too much already," he continued. "Transit riders have paid with record fare increases and service cuts.  How dare they demand that we coddle the rich while poor people are losing their benefits and millions are becoming poor?”

Another union for transit workers, the Transport Workers Union Local 100 in New York, sued this weekend to bar city officials from using public transportation buses to move around protestors arrested for participating in the demonstrations.

A judge ruled the city had the right to use the buses to arrests because of a provision in the hand book for New York City bus drivers that says they can be used to assist police.
