Airline unveils safety instructions song and dance video

Virgin America Airlines is attempting to get passengers to pay more attention to airplane safety instructions with a new song and dance video.

The video features the standard instructions that are usually read by a flight attendant over the microphones that are on board airplanes, but the directions are given in the form of a song.

"I got some safety tips that you gotta know, and trust me its something that you want to hear, so honey zip your lips and enjoy the show, before we move into the stratosphere," a group of Virgin America employees sing at the beginning of the clip.

Other airlines have recorded videos of their employees reading the safety instructions in a similar manner to the flight attendants who do live demonstrations at the front of airplanes.

Virgin America has dubbed the video the "#VSsafetydance."
