Airlines cancel 2,300 flights ahead of snow storm

Airlines canceled 2,352 flights on Tuesday in anticipation of a large snow storm that has been forecast to impact cities in the northeast, according to the website FlightAware.com.

The website said another 3,195 were delayed because of the storm.

The leading airport for delays was Philadelphia International Airport, which had 200 outgoing and 219 inbound flights delayed.

Newark Liberty International, New York’s LaGuardia Airport and Washington, D.C.’s Ronald Reagan National and Dulles International airports rounded out the top five on the delay list Tuesday.
