Airlines returning to normal after snow storm

Airline service is returning to normal levels at airports in the Northeast after a snow storm snarled flights for most of the week.

The number of flight cancellations was down to 214 on Thursday, according to the website FlightAware.com. The Thursday cancellations follow more than 1,500 flights being canceled on Wednesday and 2,300 cancellations on Tuesday.

Airlines were still facing 2,847 delays on Thursday.

All told, airlines canceled 6,845 flights for the week. An additional 35,454 flights were delayed this week.
