US Airways is apologizing for tweeting a sexually graphic image in response to a complaint from a passenger on Monday.

The tweet, which has since been deleted, depicted a naked woman using a model airplane as a sex toy.

The airline said in a subsequent tweet that it was investigating the incident.

"We apologize for an inappropriate image recently shared as a link in one of our responses," US Airways tweeted. "We’ve removed the tweet and are investigating."
