The Abu Dhabi airport is not serviced by any U.S. airlines.

The industry will present its case Tuesday to the House Foreign Affairs subcommittee on Terrorism, Nonproliferation, and Trade. Nicholas Calio, CEO of trade group Airlines for America, will be among the witnesses scheduled to testify.

Calio will be joined by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Acting Deputy Commissioner Kevin McAleenan and Air Line Pilots Association President Lee Moak.

Reps. Pat Meehan (R-Pa.), Peter DeFazio (D-Ore.) and Candice Miller (R-Mich.) attempted to block the DHS from establishing the Abu Dhabi facility with an amendment to the agency's funding bill earlier this year.
