Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.): “Sadly, the father [Homer Simpson].”

Rep. Thaddeus McCotter (R-Mich.): “God, I hope not.”  

Rep. Jason Altmire (D-Pa.): “Kang, the one-eyed space alien … the octopus-looking thing.”

Rep. Mike Simpson (R-Idaho)
: “Bart, probably because he’s always causing trouble.”

Rep. Earl Pomeroy (D-N.D.): “Homer. He’s a good-hearted guy. Things don’t come easy [but] in the end it works out more or less, and he likes people.”

Rep. Ed Perlmutter (D-Colo.): “Bart is who immediately comes to mind. I’ll have to dig deep to understand why …”

Rep. John Duncan Jr. (R-Tenn.): “I’ve never even watched ‘The Simpsons,’ not once. I’ve watched ‘King of the Hill.’ I’m a big fan of Barney Fife.”
