New regs for Thursday: Coast Guard to restrict access to Long Island Sound

Daily retention limits for HMS charter/head boat vessels fishing recreationally for bluefin tuna should be adjusted for the rest of the year, according to a new rule from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). NOAA has a final rule to change the way certain Northeast fisheries are measured and a proposed rule to increase the quotas of red snapper in the Gulf of Mexico for the rest of the year.
