Feds to farmers: Help us identify bad regulations

The Farm Credit Administration (FCA) action comes is part of a government-wide review of regulations that President Obama ordered last year.

“We are requesting your comments on any FCA regulations or policies that may duplicate other governmental requirements, are not effective in achieving stated objectives, are not based on law, or create a burden that is perceived to be greater than the benefits received,” the agency said in a notice to be published in Thursday’s Federal Register.

Members of the public and interested parties have 120 days to weigh in; comments can be made via the FCA’s website.
