Feds nix 'duplicative' fuel efficiency stickers

The FTC said the EPA’s fuel economy stickers are more informative than theirs and provide “comprehensive comparative information for both conventional and alternative fuel vehicles.”

The Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers filed a comment supporting the switch to a single label. The said the move would allow consumers to make “‘apples-to-apples’ vehicle comparisons and eliminate potential confusion from two, sometimes-conflicting labels.”
