White, whose expertise lies in environmental and health issues, brings years of experience in state and federal regulatory systems to the outfit formerly known as OMB Watch, according to the group’s president, Katherine McFate.
“His understanding of the federal rulemaking system and his expertise on the intersection of environmental and health policy will greatly benefit our work and allow us to provide valuable insights to our allies in the Coalition for Sensible Safeguards, members of the media, and the American people,” McFate said in a written statement.
White sits on the Maryland Air Quality Control Advisory Council and has served on multiple federal advisory panels, including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Clean Air Scientific Advisory Committee, the EPA’s Science Advisory Board, and the National Research Council Committee on Research Priorities for Airborne Particulate Matter, according to the center.
He also held senior positions at the American Lung Association and has also worked at the National Osteoporosis Foundation, the group said.
