Wednesday's meeting announcements: Great Lakes restoration

On Oct. 1 and 2, Nuclear Regulatory Commission panels on some facility designs, regulatory policies and reactor safeguards will meet in Rockville, Md. 

A federal council on science and technology is holding a conference call on Oct. 7 to discuss a cybersecurity report

A Commerce Department committee on nuclear trade is meeting in Washington on Oct. 16 to discuss promoting trade of nuclear materials. 

On Oct. 16 and 17, chairs of the Energy Department’s site-specific advisory boards will meet in Mt. Sterling, Ohio, to talk about the program and gather views from the department headquarters. 

The National Fire Academy’s board of visitors will meet in Emmitsburg, Md., on Oct. 17 and 18. 

The Just Department will host two workshops in conjunction with an annual police chief conference in Philadelphia on Oct. 19. 

An EPA committee on scientific and technological achievement awards is meeting on Oct. 21 and 22. 

The federal commission for the Delaware River Basin is holding a hearing on proposed changes to its water quality rules in Trenton on the afternoon of Oct. 24. 

On Oct. 29, the EPA’s panel for mobile emissions sources is meeting in Washington.

Also on Oct. 29, the Small Business Administration’s advisory panel on audits and financial management is meeting. 

From Oct. 30 to Nov. 1, the State Department advisory committee for cultural property will meet at the department’s Washington headquarters. Parts of the meeting will be closed to the public. 

A Forest Service advisory council on urban and community forestry will meet in Pittsburgh on Nov. 5 and 6 to review past grant projects.
