Wednesday's meeting announcements: SEC to talk CEO pay disclosure rule

On Thursday, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is holding a meeting to discuss a number of issues affecting the electricity sector. 

On Sept. 26, the Railroad Retirement Board will hold a meeting in Chicago. 

The Environmental Protection Agency’s review board for human studies will meet on Oct. 1.

The Navy’s advisory panel for ocean research will hold a meeting in Arlington, Va., on Oct. 7. 

The Department of Transportation will hold a public listening session on Oct. 9 at its headquarters in Washington. At the session, the department will hear what the public has to say about proposed changes to its program for small businesses owned by disadvantaged individuals. 

The Food and Drug Administration is holding public meetings on Oct. 10 and 11 in Miami, Fla., and Oct. 22 and 23 in Long Beach, Calif., to go over its proposed rules for food importers.

The National Cancer Institute’s consumer liaison group is meeting on Oct. 17 in Bethesda, Md., to discuss cloud technology and electronic health records. 

The Commerce Department’s advisory committee for managing the nation’s spectrum will meet on the afternoon of Oct. 22. 

On Oct. 24 and 25, U.S. Customs and Border Protection will hold a symposium on East Coast trade in Washington. This will be the 13th year that the agency holds the trade event. 

The National Institutes of Health’s panel for scientific review is meeting in Bethesda, Md., on Oct. 28. 

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s advisory committee on breast cancer in young women is meeting on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 in Atlanta. 

On Dec. 4, the Food and Drug Administration is hosting a public hearing to obtain information about first aid eyewash drugs and discuss when the products are safe and effective.
