Monday's meeting announcements: How ObamaCare will affect youngsters

Federal advisory committees for fossil fuels in ultra-deepwater and technology for unconventional resources are meeting at the Energy Department’s headquarters in Washington on Oct. 8 and 10. 

On Oct. 9, the Department of Energy’s boards for Northern New Mexico and Tennessee is meeting in Santa Fe and Oak Ridge. 

The U.S. Agency for International Development’s board for international food and agricultural aid is meeting in Des Moines, Iowa, on Oct. 15. 

A Pentagon board is meeting on Oct. 17 to develop recommendations on how the department might benefit from private sector corporate management practices. 

The Energy Department’s advisory board for Idaho is meeting in the town of Fort Hall on Oct. 30. 

Also on Oct. 30, a National Park Service advisory board is meeting to discuss managing concessions at the country’s parks. 

On Oct. 30 and 31, the Food and Drug Administration’s committee on pharmaceutical science and clinical pharmacology is meeting in Washington. 

On Dec. 10, the Food and Drug Administration will hold a meeting on patient-focused drug development. And in January of 2014, the agency will hold two workshops on developing drugs for rare diseases.
