Tuesday's meeting announcements: CFTC gets together

On May 20, the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board will meet in Washington, D.C., to discuss the board's strategic plan and budget. 

On May 21, the appraisal subcommittee of the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council, an inter-agency organization on financial standards, will meet in Washington, D.C., to review grant reimbursements and policy statements.

The Department of Homeland Security's committee on national security telecommunications will meet on May 22 to review current research and develop priorities. 

A Department of Transportation advisory committee on rail safety is meeting on May 29 and 30 to review its activities. 

A Labor Department council is holding a meeting on the U.S.-Colombia trade promotion agreement on May 30. 

On June 3 and Sept. 9, the Interior Department's advisory commission on the Acadia National Park is meeting in Bar Harbor, Maine. 

On June 4 and 5, a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) council on eliminating tuberculosis is meeting in Atlanta, Ga.

A U.S. Department of Agriculture committee on food microbiology is meeting June 4-6 to review strategies and make recommendations on reducing food-borne infections. 

The Commission on Civil Rights, an independent agency, is holding a fact-finding meeting on June 5 and 6 in Toledo, Ohio, to hear about human trafficking in the state. 

On June 5 and 6, the CDC's advisory committee on controlling infections will meet to provide updates on the agency's recent activities. 

The Department of Energy's advisory committee on electricity is also meeting on June 5 and 6 in Arlington, Va. 

On June 6 and 7, the Energy Department's advisory board for the Hanford decommissioned nuclear complex will gather in Richland, Wash.
