Monday's meeting announcements: Broadcasting Board of Governors getting together

The Energy Department’s committee for advanced scientific computing is holding a teleconference Sept. 3. 

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s panel on the Fukushima Dai-ichi disaster is meeting in Rockville, Md., on the morning of Sept. 4. 

Also Sept. 4, the State Department is holding a meeting of its committee on private international law. The committee is getting together to discuss a draft convention on transparency that will be considered by a United Nations commission. 

The board of directors for the State Justice Institute, which gives grants to state courts, will meet in Columbus, Ohio, Sept. 9. 

On Sept. 10, the federal council for fisheries in the Mid-Atlantic is holding a meeting in Dover, Del., to talk about flounder, scup and sea bass. 

The Interior Department’s advisory committee for mining transparency is meeting Sept. 10, Oct. 1 and 2, and Dec. 11 and 12.

The Commerce Department will hold a meeting for its committee on supply chain competitiveness Sept. 11. 

On Sept. 12, the Department of Energy is holding a meeting of the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology.

On Sept. 13, the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights’ advisory committee for Kentucky is meeting in Louisville to consider a school desegregation project. 

The Department of Health and Human Services is holding a meeting of its council on child health Sept. 19. 

Also Sept. 19, a Nuclear Regulatory Commission panel on reactor safeguards is meeting in Rockville, Md. 

The Food and Drug Administration’s advisory committee on endocrinologic and metabolic drugs is meeting Oct. 16 in Silver Spring, Md.
