On Oct. 9, the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council’s appraisal subcommittee is meeting to review state compliance and reimbursement requests. 

On Oct. 16, the Defense Department’s board for science in the Army is meeting in Arlington, Va. 

The Fish and Wildlife Service is adding a hearing on the status of the gray wolf and the Mexican wolf in Denver on Oct. 17. 

The U.S. National Commission for UNESCO is holding a conference call on Oct. 17. 

Also on Oct. 17, the Fort Scott Council is meeting San Francisco, Calif., on Oct. 17 to discuss opportunities of a national center on service and leadership. 

An advisory committee on immunization practices is meeting in Atlanta on Oct. 23 and 24. 

On Oct. 24, a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advisory committee is meeting to discuss strategic issues at the agency. 

The National Science Foundation is holding meetings on its Innovation Corps on Oct. 28 and on equal opportunities in science and engineering on Oct. 30. 

The Energy Department’s advisory committee for hydrogen and fuel cells is meeting on Oct. 29 and 30 in Golden, Colo. 

A federal coal council is meeting in Washington on Nov. 1 to develop recommendations for the Energy Department. 

On Nov. 7, the board of scientific advisers for the National Cancer Institute will meet in Bethesda, Md. 

A Food and Drug Administration committee on vaccines and related products is meeting in Rockville, Md., on Nov. 13. 

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s science advisory board is meeting in Washington on Nov. 19 and 20.
