• This position reports to the Practice Group Leader.
• Supporting legislative advocacy priorities of clients and coordinating the policy and political events for the practice group.

• Scheduling and staffing client congressional appointments
• Coordinating practice group lobby days.
• Preparing advocacy materials, including schedules, briefing materials and direct client communications.
• Planning and organizing practice group policy forums and fundraising events.
• Attending congressional hearings
• Direct contact and interaction with clients.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships throughout the practice group, with clients and with elected officials and their staff.
• Understanding of the legislative process and attention to current congressional activity, including pending legislation and current policy issues.
• Familiarity with the federal regulatory process, comment periods, and federal agency jurisdiction and organizational charts.
• Keen understanding of lobby and fundraising rules, including working closely with firm personnel on FEC filings.
• Strong writing skills with a thorough command of the English language to include excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation.
• Ability to accurately and quickly edit written materials.
• Ability to prioritize and flexibility to complete projects in a timely manner.
• Strong organizational skills, with ability to prioritize numerous tasks and complete them properly under time constraints
• Proven keen attention to detail.

• Two years’ experience in government, preferably in a Congressional office
• Bachelor’s degree
• Demonstrated ability to organize information and projects successfully
• Proven record of strong attention to accuracy and detail.
