SUMMARY:

The CTIA PAC Director will be primarily responsible for the growth, compliance, and management of the CTIA Political Action Committee in a fast-paced political environment. The position reports to the Sr. Vice President, Government Affairs, and must ensure the sound financial management and compliance of the PAC with applicable federal campaign finance and election laws. The ideal candidate will have previous PAC management and compliance experience, be a detail-oriented person with innovative and creative ideas to grow the PAC, have existing relationships with fundraising consultants, and be a strong self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING (OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED):

• With the Government Affairs team, create and manage an annual budget for the PAC.
• Responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day management and administration of the PAC.
• Plan and execute ongoing corporate PAC solicitation and communication activities and campaigns.
• Work with the creative team to create solicitation documents for external use.
• Work with appropriate contacts at CTIA member companies to secure annual prior approval and encourage support for CTIA PAC.
• Work with the Accounting Department to process contributions and disbursements.
• Direct CTIA employee solicitation efforts before all levels of eligible employees.
• Coordinate CTIA PAC-hosted fundraisers.
• Prepare and submit all required FEC filings and work with PAC counsel to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Manage CTIA’s lobby disclosure and contribution reporting processes and ensure timely filing.
• Prepare reports for CTIA Board meetings, Board Books, and assist with PAC presentations.
• Serve as liaison to member companies on all fundraising matters.
• Manage departmental access to key databases.
• Plan, coordinate, and purchase appreciation and recognition gifts for the Board.
• Provide consistent progress reports on PAC participation rates, disbursement ratios and compliance with the PAC budget.
• Plan creative events and activities to encourage employee interest and participation in the PAC.
• Manage and perform financial transactions, including contributions and disbursement of funds to campaign committees. Manage CTIA Charitable Match program, including disbursements to qualified charities.
• Assume other responsibilities as requested in support of the company’s goals and objectives.

Compensation and Hours:
This is a full-time position with the need for periodic evening or weekend hours. Salary is competitive and appropriate to experience, and includes health and other benefits.
