•COMMERCE: President Bush has nominated Mario Mancuso to be undersecretary for export administration.

•DEFENSE: Bush will nominate James Clapper Jr. to be undersecretary for intelligence.
The president nominated Navy Adm. William Fallon to become commander of the U.S. Central Command in Florida.
The president has nominated Reserve Marine Corps Col. Rex McMillian for a promotion to brigadier general.

•JUSTICE: The president nominated Patrick Shen to be special counsel for Immigration-Related Unfair Employment Practices.

•LABOR: The president plans to name Howard Radzely as acting deputy secretary.

•OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR OF NATIONAL INTELLIGENCE: Bush has nominated Michael McConnell to be director.

•STATE: Bush nominated William Wood to be ambassador to Afghanistan.
The president has nominated John Negroponte to be deputy secretary.
The president nominated Ryan Crocker to be ambassador to Iraq.
Secretary Condoleezza Rice named Undersecretary for Democracy and Global Affairs Paula Dobriansky to be special envoy on Northern Ireland.

•TREASURY: Secretary Henry Paulson named Kimberly Reed to be director of the Community Development Financial Institutions Fund.

•UNITED STATES AGENCY FOR INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Bush nominated Paul Bonicelli to be assistant administrator.
The president named Douglas Menarchik acting assistant administrator for Europe and Eurasia pending Senate consideration of his nomination for the post.
