Obama: Not the time to break pledge against tax hikes

President Obama said Thursday that Republicans in Congress should pass the tax cuts in his jobs plan because now is not the time to break the pledge against tax increases that many of them have taken.

“I know that some of you have sworn oaths to never raise taxes on anyone, for as long as you live," Obama said during his address to a joint session of Congress. "Now is not the time to carve out an exception and raise middle-class taxes."
