President Obama
told Congress on Thursday that his jobs proposal was the one that the legislators should choose.
“For everyone who speaks so passionately about making
life easier for job creators, this plan’s for you,” the president said.
Trying to sell
his plan to congressional Republicans who often pitch or block policies as
being positive or negative for “job creators,” Obama said that under his plan “small
business would get a tax cut if they hire new workers or if they raise worker’s
wages.”
