Obama tries to stay dry at outdoor ceremony with South Korean leader

"Today we welcome a leader who's remarkable life embodies the rise of his nation … my good friend and partner President Lee, said Obama at the ceremony."

He told the audience that the United States and South Korea hold an alliance rooted in shared vales of their people.

"Mr. President, your visit thus marks a new chapter in our alliance because in South Korea the United States has a global partner that is embracing the responsibilities of leadership in the 21st century," he added.
